The Religious Society of Friends marks its beginning in England in 1652. In that year, George Fox, a seeker after God and true religion in a time of corruption and compromise in the established church, received a message from God. "There is One, even Christ Jesus, who can speak to thy condition." Fox recognized the Truth in these words: true religion that honors God is not based on grand architecture, elevated clergy or rituals, but in the simple worship of Jesus Christ, God's Son and the Savior of all who call upon Him. Fox also believed and taught that it ws - and IS - possible for every believer to personally communicate with God through Jesus Christ. It is even possible, as Jesus said, to become His friend. These are basic Christian convictions today, but they were earth shattering revelations just 300 years ago.

| At Friends Community Church in Fresno, California, it is our dream and desire to take the convictions of George Fox and to live them out in a world that desperately needs to hear them. The teachings of George Fox are just as timely today as they were when he first began communicating them over 300 years ago. The reason? Because they are the same teachings that Jesus taught over 2,000 years ago. A simple faith - love God and love each other. A simple struction - listen, learn, and live out the timeless truths. A simple message - there is One, Christ Jesus, that can meet you right where you are. |

| Our future at Friends Community Church Fresno looks good. We have recently welcomed Darryl Dote and his family to our staff, as well as Doris and Willard Ferguson. Our Little Friends Learning Center is also undergoing major changes and we are looking forward to a bright new future with them as well. Come join us as we make the journey of a lifetime together! |
